ABOUT US
Sunshine Nursery in Tahlequah was started by Raymond and Helen Hendrix in 1980. They started with a wholesale tree business and later grew into a retail garden center. Sunshine Nursery retail garden
center opened on Stick Ross Mountain Rd and they later moved to their current location at 352 W. Willis
Rd in 2009. Both Raymond and Helen, have worked the business together and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the industry. In 2024, Raymond and Helen made the decision to retire. Jason and Wendy stepped in to continue the family business in Tahlequah and Muskogee.

Sunshine Nursery Too in Muskogee has been in operation since 2021. With a need for a local retail garden center in Muskogee, Wendy and Jason were ready to fully dedicate their time to the nursery.
We want to help the Muskogee community and surrounding areas by providing beautiful healthy plants to create beautiful spaces.
OUR STORY
Born and raised in Tahlequah, OK, Jason and Wendy graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1997. Both attended NSU and earned degrees in Criminal Justice and Accounting respectively. Wendy was raised in the nursery industry from an early age. Sunshine Nursery in Tahlequah originated from her 4-H project and grew from there. Wendy began her accounting career at a large wholesale nursery and worked as a controller for many years. They identified an opportunity for a nursery and garden center in Muskogee, OK and that is where Sunshine Nursery Too started.
